CASE STUDY
Supporting An International Assignee with Refilling Critical Medication
OVERVIEW
International SOS facilitated a TeleConsultation service and helped arrange medication delivery to support an assignee who was in the community lockdown.

PROBLEM
Tom’s compound in Beijing was lock-downed due to a newly confirmed COVID case in his building. According to the district’s official notice, his building had become a high-risk zone and he needed to be lock-down for a minimum of five days if no additional cases were identified. Tom was due to visit his doctor in two days to refill his hypertension prescription as his medication was running very low.

SOLUTION
Tom reached out to us and explained the issues he was facing. We helped Tom arrange a TeleConsultation with an internal medicine specialist at the clinic he was visiting the next day. With the prescription, we then assisted with the arrangement of medication delivery to his community and communicated on his behalf with his facility management who helped delivered the drugs to Tom’s doorstep.
